SUCCESSFULLY TESTING NEW BUSINESS IDEAS

Hansgrohe validates and tests new business idea

Customer Insights Lab: new perspectives

The Hansgrohe Group, based in Schiltach, is known as a global player, especially in the bathroom industry. Hansgrohe products such as mixers, showers and shower systems can be found everywhere. In order to evaluate a new business idea in the field of water and building automation, Hansgrohe used the BadenCampus Customer Insights Lab in a joint project with badenovaNETZE to refine, evaluate and test the idea.

Basis for innovative smart home solution

The topic of "saving water" is of great importance to the bathroom specialist. Because 95 percent of all product innovations fail before they enter the market, Hansgrohe asked the BadenCampus in the Customer Insights Lab for support in validating a new business idea: a detection solution for water leaks in collaboration with water network operators. In workshops, using design thinking methods, testing tools and field tests with homeowners from our test customer database, both companies examined the value of the joint business idea.

We have achieved this together:

Risk minimization

The Customer Insights Lab enabled Hansgrohe to make a well-founded assessment of the marketability and potential of its business idea. This meant that Hansgrohe could be sure that this idea would meet the needs and requirements of its customers.

Customer orientation

The use of design thinking methods and the findings from the test customer database enabled Hansgrohe to align the business idea closely with the customer's value chain.

Promotion of innovation

The project not only promoted cooperation between the partners, but also the innovative strength of the Hansgrohe Group. Hansgrohe is strengthening its position as an innovation leader with pioneering smart home solutions.
